7 The Firearm

Knowing is just half the battle, he thought. And soon, after of course, Chris joined him. They were now both facing the same oppression, although I don’t think anyone would’ve guessed they were kindred spirits.

That morning, a man had come by with an unloaded gun, but the fear of those absent bullets left everyone in a panic. Sarah called the cops, Bisi hid in her room and Andrea, well, Andrea was irate and offended by the very existence of a gun in her narrow periphery.

This may be redundant, but Thomas was extremely alone in this view point. But he was alone nonetheless. In fact, you could probably search up Thomas was alone and reliably be hit with a steaming piston of force, bringing you into a world unimagined by your 3-dimensional presence.

Thomas believed there was a reason for everything. So that day that Eugene pulled up to the kiosk of their antiquated photobooth, Thomas was inconceivably displeasured. “What did the likes of him have worth of memories?” he remembers thinking only modestly in shame.

Eugene had no words for Thomas that morning. He simply drew upon an ill begotten firearm and pulled the trigger square upon the chest of the only man who could’ve ever known him.

Were there flashbacks? Thomas has no memory of it now. Thomas is alone and before long, Chris is here too.

  1. From the top, the title of this post seems to be an anagram. One permutation is Airfields CGI, which suits the subtitle of the blog “Latitudes no Attitudes” and the second text message referencing landing. CGI may suggest the virtual nature of this expedition.

The text is opaque, but marked by alliteration and sibilance. There is a reference to turbulence, adding to the airfield and altitude alignment.

The image shows the colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV in ‘retrospect’) hitting a white object, meaning the reflection is also ROYGBIV. There are 3 versions of the image available to me, which do not add much.

TTGJD in grey remains veiled to me, as comprehension has still not set in. Nonetheless, I believe the X represents ROYGBIV. Less likely but possibly white or VIBGYOR.

    1. Well, looks like that flight disappeared into the nether.
But don’t be dismayed, we like how you think… at least 2 out of the 5 times.
That leaves the big prize still 3 keys away.
Thomas awaits. He is alone. Well, that’s how the story goes at first.
